  1. Family matters to me…
Family matters to me because they are always at my side no matter what. My Family is always there for me but I have to be there for them too. I have one sibling; she is 10 years old and starting 5th grade. My mom and dad have never “left me out to dry.” They always are their even when I don’t need them, whenever there is a problem or an obstacle I need to get over my parents won’t quit, even when I deiced to quit. For example on nights when I have a lot of homework my dad doesn’t go to sleep until all of my homework is done and I am going to sleep.
    Food matters to me…
Food matters to me because I have to closely monitor it and I really like to eat. Eating is something that everyone does and no one can avoid it. (Unless you make all your foods into drink form) My favorite dish is, by far, deep dish pizza from Old Chicago. The reason I like deep dish pizza and all the other good foods out there is because eating is like a complicated equation where you have to appeal to all the taste buds in your mouth. The constant struggle between all food businesses just gives the customer more choices. Food also matters to me because I have to closely monitor it because of Type 1 diabetes. Well it’s not everything in the food it’s just the carbohydrates (like sugar, bread, and donuts) in whatever I’m eating.
    Friends matter to me…
Friends matter to me because they are there for you whenever you can’t have your parents protecting your back, well if there good friends. When you are walking onto the bus, a party or some social gathering you look for your friends, if you don’t then you’re not a good friends are you? For example my Best Friend, Ethan Weller, has been my friends ever since 2nd grade. He’s always been there for me and me for him; it’s a kind of silent respect. The reason friends are important to me is because there people I like and get along with. If you hang out with people you don’t know or people that you hat or strongly dislike, then you’re going to miserable. Why is because what we all think friends are basically who you are. Over the years many of my friends rubbed off on me and I took in a little of there personality.

    Sports matter to me…
Sports matter to me because they keep you active and you meet new people as you play which ever sport of your choosing. Over the years I played about 8 season with a AA team, The Panthers. Through out those 8 seasons, about 4 years, I saw people come and go I also say people stay with the team. During that time frame I made about 50 new friends that go to Arapahoe another 30 go to other schools where they play baseball. Sports are also something that can be a career or just a pass time and once you get out of high school and a few years pass college you can play where ever with whoever you want to. Why we play sports depends on the person, I’ve meet a kid named Jake on my team and he says he does it to have fun others do it to get better and eventually go professional and some of them probably can. Personally I do it to get out there and get better, I would rather be playing a pick-up game with my friends then watching television.
