  5. In Alfred Hitchcock's The Rope actions and words said and done by others can change others easly. Just like when Brandon said to Phillip "pull your self together nothing is going to get in my way, no, not now, not after the hard parts over!". Even though Phillip did not want to hide from killing David because of his friend Brandon did not want to get caught Phillip had to pull himself together.

In the movie "The Rope" by Alfred Hitchcock he uses the words and actions to further the story using Phillips actions of being really tense about being caught for the crime of murder that he and Brenan inflicted on David. Giving Rupert the thought of something amidst at the party Rupert having as very suspicious feeling do to Phillips action.

And, as such, the privilege of committing it should be reserved for those few who are really superior individuals") infuence Brandon and Phillip so much that it leads to them murdering their good friend over superiority.
